The Challenge

Make alcohol-free wines with regional & varietal character, while not resorting to sweetness to fill in the gaps. For the wine enthusiast when they choose to abstain. Food focused with an on-going commitment to sophistication. Mindful of economics, we wanted to hit certain pricepoints while delivering beyond expectation.

The Solution

I approached BevZero with the qualitative Vinolo project. They fully engaged with our vision & helped us with numerous R&D trials, allowing access to their people & operations, so we could achieve our goals. Co- operation between the Vinolo, BevZero Spain and winery teams was excellent.  We appreciated the de-alc technology, especially Golo, which signifies continued investment in R&D.

The Results

Just in its second year, ZENO is becoming renowned for high quality, food friendly alcohol-liberated wines. Solid international competition performance across the range which shows consistency. Very favourable trade, consumer & media testimonials. We’ve extended the range and broadened our distribution in UK and export markets. Listed in Waitrose UK.

Our collaboration is committed to continuous improvement with focus on sophistication.

Timeline

Due to the complexity of the Vinolo project, our resident MW vision, and having Covid lockdowns, it took longer than anticipated. 3 years before ZENO launched commercially, but it was worth it.

Notable Press Mentions

Four national UK television segments. Numerous media accolades including The Observer stating that “ZENO gets close to cracking the code”.
